College of pharmacy at the University of Kerbela adopts the OSCE examination
College of pharmacy at the University of Kerbela adopts the OSCE examination which was announced about As a first attempt ,  by the dean of the college Dr.Ahmed S. Al- Khazali who said:
” In order to continue in the process of evolution  in teaching methods , evaluation methods and test conducted  by our college ,
 the OSCE have been approved in the clinical pharmacy branch as it is a modern method of clinical tests conducted in medical colleges around the world”.
The  OSCE exam aims to test the student’s clinical skills and their communication skills with the patient as well as the other clinical performance activities in a way that imitates the practical reality so as to qualify the student to be worthy to join the medical team after graduation in order to provide the best treatment and pharmaceutical services.
The test consists of several sections prepared in a way that corresponds to the clinical reality in hospitals . Each section has an official teacher who receives the student and asks him some questions deal with existing case and evaluates him according to the test form whereas the evaluation method  is designed to demonstrate the clinical skills of students For his part, Dr. Riadh  Mustafa ,the head of the clinical pharmacy branch in our college said:
The adoption of  OSCE system for the fourth stage students is for testing illness conditions and pharmacological education and therapeutics.
