Addressing Cases of Unaccepted Incoming Students


Based on its powers granted in the file of transferring students studying outside Iraq (incoming students) and its results, which indicated the absorption of (2381) two thousand three hundred and eighty-one students in light of the maximum possible absorption capacity allowed by the standards of medical specialties and the principle of competition and preference, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research decided to address cases of unaccepted students according to the following:
▪️ In the event that the student wishes to return to his studies outside Iraq, the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations shall provide the attachés and embassies with a letter confirming that the student has not transferred his studies inside Iraq to contact his university to cancel the registration promotion in the event that his relationship with the university is severed.
▪️ Exempting students from graduates of previous years from the controls for the year of graduation from preparatory studies for the purpose of applying for central admission in the event that he did not obtain previous central admission.
▪️ Exempting students from the 2021/2022 graduates from the graduation year requirement by applying to the morning private government education channel to apply with students who graduated from the academic year 2022/2023 to the above channel for the academic year 2024/2025. The Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up shall determine the implementation rates.

▪️ Allowing students, if they wish to apply for transfer to government and private colleges of dentistry and pharmacy, according to vacant seats and competition, according to categories and scientific clearing requirements.

▪️ Students from the previous academic year graduates are allowed to apply to the colleges of the medical group in private universities for the academic year 2024/2025 according to the specified rates and approved controls.

In this regard, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research draws the attention of its students from this category to the imminent launch of an electronic form on the Studies, Planning and Follow-up Portal (www.dirasat-gate.org) to implement the procedures according to appropriate timings that will be announced later.
