Ministerial Committee Holds Meeting to Launch the Establishment of a New College Specializing in Frontier Sciences at the University of Baghdad
A high-level ministerial committee within the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research held a meeting to discuss and outline the procedures for initiating the project to establish a new college at the University of Baghdad, focused on frontier sciences and their applications, as directed by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi.
The attendees reviewed the objectives of the project, the disciplines that the new college will cover, the type of high-achieving students it aims to attract, and mapped out the administrative and academic framework, including staff requirements and the timeline for student admissions, as well as the benefits provided to them.
It is noteworthy that Minister Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi directed the provision of appropriate requirements for establishing a new college at the University of Baghdad, dedicated to frontier sciences, embracing an identity rooted in innovative ideas and pioneering projects. This college will adopt high-quality, globally oriented academic programs and aligns with the strategic policy set by the ministry to prioritize and enhance university services, strengthen professional leadership, and improve student outcomes. The project is intended to attract high-achieving students and equip them with knowledge from Iraqi and international university experts through advanced and non-traditional educational systems. The aim is to establish pioneering perspectives in scientific specialties and their applications.
