The College of Science at the University of Kerbala organized a training course on the role of algae and cyanobacteria in the sustainability of agricultural systems.

The course highlighted the key scientific applications of algae in promoting agricultural sustainability, focusing on the diverse benefits of algae in sustainable and organic farming practices, such as their use as biofertilizers and soil stabilizers.

The course also discussed the role of cyanobacteria in soil fertility, land reclamation, and their effectiveness in the plant-soil system. It emphasized the production of organic acids that enhance phosphorus absorption, provide nitrogen, and increase organic matter in the soil.
