Supporting the University Library: Presidential Adviser Donates Books to Kerbala University
On Thursday, Kerbala University President Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali received a number of books donated by the Presidency of the Republic, represented by its adviser, Professor Saad Al-Saadi.
The donated books cover a wide range of scientific fields, including law, politics, media, general culture, and social development.
The university president praised this initiative, which he believes will help foster a culture of reading and learning within the academic community, while restoring the significance of books in the face of the cultural challenges that particularly affect youth and society at large.
Dr. Wajid emphasized that the university is committed to advancing scientific research, diversifying sources of information, and facilitating the exchange of ideas, as well as providing opportunities for self-learning that can help individuals become creative and knowledgeable about their community and environment.
In turn, President’s adviser Professor Saad Al-Saadi stated, “The Presidency of the Republic has strategic programs to support university libraries, as they are a key and influential element in shaping society’s culture by providing individuals with opportunities to connect and learn the skills needed to acquire knowledge.”
The Central Library of Kerbala University regularly receives books from researchers and authors in various disciplines, enriching knowledge and supporting the scientific movement.
