Important Announcement
The General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has launched the Second Season of the National Reading Competition (A Nation Reads).
This is a sustainable cultural and competitive national project aimed at encouraging society members to engage in purposeful and creative reading, enabling them to acquire and apply knowledge in various aspects of life.
🔴 Conditions for Participation:
1. Participants must be between 18 and 24 years old, whether currently studying or not.
2. Participants are required to read 10 books across 5 themes out of the 10 available themes.
• ⚠️ Note: If the Arabic Language theme is selected, participants must read two books and one sermon.
🔴 Competition Prizes:
1. First place: 20,000,000 IQD (twenty million Iraqi dinars).
2. Second place: 15,000,000 IQD (fifteen million Iraqi dinars).
3. Third place: 10,000,000 IQD (ten million Iraqi dinars).
4. First place from each governorate: 1,000,000 IQD (one million Iraqi dinars).
🔴 Competition Details:
1. Upon registering, participants will begin preparing by selecting the five themes they wish to compete in.
2. The initial rounds will take place within universities to shortlist participants.
3. After university eliminations, three finalists from each governorate will be selected.
4. The final stage will be held in Kerbala, where the top three participants from each governorate will compete during Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birth week, in a week-long series of tests.
