University of Kerbala Organizes a Workshop on Drugs, Their Causes of Spread, and Methods of Combating Them

The College of Law at the University of Kerbala organized a workshop on drugs, their causes of spread, and methods of combating them. The workshop was part of the ministerial program aimed at developing scientific research skills for postgraduate students and was presented by Dr. Aqeel Karim Al-Hasnawi.

The workshop covered several key topics, including an introduction to different types of drugs, their physical and psychological effects, the methods through which they are distributed, the reasons behind their spread, and comprehensive strategies for combating them.

The session also addressed various approaches to dealing with the issue, such as awareness and treatment programs, legal regulations, and media campaigns designed to reduce drug prevalence and its negative consequences.

The workshop aimed to raise students’ awareness of drugs and the factors contributing to their spread, while also reinforcing efforts to combat them at individual, community, and national levels.
