The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Science, University of Kerbala, organized an awareness seminar on cancer prevention and education.

Coinciding with World Cancer Day, the seminar aimed to promote community awareness about the importance of early diagnosis and highlight its crucial role in improving recovery chances.

The seminar, presented by Prof. Nargis Hadi Mansour and Prof. Iman Talib Karim, covered key topics, including the primary causes of cancer, its types, and methods of prevention. The speakers emphasized the importance of regular medical check-ups for early detection.

This seminar is part of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace, and Security, which seeks to promote public health awareness and highlight preventive measures against cancer through educational campaigns and awareness programs.
