University of Kerbala Concludes Competitive Examinations to Select Representatives for the Classical Poetry Festival

The Student Activities Department at the University of Kerbala concluded the competitive examinations to select students who will represent the university in the Classical Poetry Festival. The examinations were conducted under the supervision of a specialized judging panel.

The exams consisted of five main criteria to ensure the selection of the most qualified students to represent the university, including: the rhythm and meters of the poem, language accuracy, the topic and coherence of the poem, the effective presence and literary courage of the poet in delivering the poem on stage, the poetic imagery, and the richness of the text and the nature of the topic.

University of Kerbala reaffirms its continuous commitment to supporting student talents in literary and cultural fields and enhancing their participation in national events that contribute to reinforcing authentic Arab identity and elevating the university’s poetic scene.
