University of Kerbala Organizes a Scientific Workshop on Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism

The College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Kerbala organized a scientific workshop on “Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism.” The session was presented by Mr. Majid Dakhil Ouda, Director of the High Commission for Human Rights Office in Kerbala, along with Professor Nawras Adnan, Ms. Faten Khalid, Dr. Noaman Jro Ali, and Dr. Mais Hibet Hamid.

The workshop aimed to raise students’ awareness of the dangers of violent extremism, its impact on individuals and society, and ways to mitigate it.

Key topics covered included defining extremism leading to terrorism, its causes, and approaches to countering it.

The workshop concluded with recommendations to develop cultural awareness programs that channel social energy positively and help prevent tendencies toward extremism and terrorism.
