College of Pharmacy Organizes a Scientific Symposium on “The Right to Health within the Framework of Human Rights”

The Scientific Affairs Unit, in collaboration with the Human Rights Unit at the College of Pharmacy, University of Kerbala, organized a scientific symposium titled “The Right to Health within the Framework of Human Rights.” The event was attended by several college affiliates and was presented by Dr. Mohammed Mahdi Mohammed.

The symposium explored the concept of the right to health as one of the fundamental rights enshrined in international treaties, highlighting its legal and legislative framework, as well as the role of health institutions in ensuring that medical care is provided to everyone without discrimination. It also addressed the importance of health awareness in reinforcing this right and examined the challenges associated with its implementation, particularly in the context of health and economic crises.

The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of health as a fundamental human right and to encourage research into health policies that guarantee the fair and comprehensive provision of medical services.
