University of Kerbala Celebration for Newly Arab and foreign Students Accepted into its Colleges

University of Kerbala has organized a ceremony welcoming Arab and foreign students accepted into its colleges as part of the project (Study in Iraq) , in presence of President of the University, Prof. Dr. Basim K. Nile, Vice President for scientific Affairs Prof. Dr. Najm Abdul Hussein Al-Janab and Vice President for administrative affairs Prof Dr. Akram Mohsen Al-Yasiri, and deans of the colleges.

The ceremony is attended by a group of Arab and foreign students from various countries, most notably Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Nigeria, Iran, India, and Burkina Faso.

In his speech. Prof. Dr. Basim K. Nile states that the project “Study in Iraq” initiative launched by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aims at receiving students of different nationalities and allowing them to continue their university studies in a way that strengthens cultural and academic relations between Iraq and the world.

Prof. Dr. Basim K. Nile points out that the University, since its establishment, has sought to expand its scientific activities and cultural relations, by building bridges of cooperation with various international academic institutions.

He explains that the University is constantly working to develop academic programmes and adopt modern methods and curricula to create an academic generation capable of adapting to changes in order to achieve sustainability in various fields.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research launched the “Study in Iraq” initiative last year, to open scientific horizons with international academic institutions to benefit the academic field.
