Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that more than a hundred Iraqi universities and colleges obtained competitive scores in the Webometrics Ranking in its 2024 edition.

Higher Education reviewed that the results of the Ranking highlighted that (32,000) university institutions around the world competed according to the indicators of the virtual presence of universities through their locations, measuring percentage of clarity by (50%), transparency by (10%) and strength and excellence of research by (40%).

Higher Education also reviewed that the current edition witnessed progress in the scores of Iraqi universities, as the University of Baghdad obtained the score (1460), then the Universities of Diyala, Mustansiriyah, Mosul, Kufa, Al-Furat Al-Awsat, and other Iraqi universities and colleges indicated by the official website for the Ranking (https://www.webometrics.info/en/aw/Iraq), affiliated to the Supreme Center for Scientific Research in Spain.
