Minister of Higher Education Receives the Ambassador of Belarus and Discusses Scientific and Academic Cooperation Between the Two Countries

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, received Mr. Viktor Ryback, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Iraq, to discuss the path of scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasized that the Ministry and its universities are keen to develop scientific, research, and academic collaboration with Belarus, aiming to create a positive environment for exchanging expertise, scholarships, and university twinning programs. He also highlighted the success of the “Study in Iraq” program, which is sponsored by the Ministry to attract international students to Iraqi universities.

For his part, the Belarusian Ambassador praised the commitment shown by Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in fostering global scientific and academic partnerships through memorandums of understanding, scholarship exchanges, and strengthening mutual cooperation.
