Study at University of Kerbala Explores the Use of Low-Quality Rice in Broiler Chicken Feed
A master’s thesis at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Kerbala, discussed the use of low-quality rice as an alternative source of energy and protein in broiler chicken feed. The study was conducted by Amira Mohammed Saad.
The research aimed to evaluate the feasibility of substituting low-quality rice for corn in broiler feed at varying percentages to reduce production costs and provide alternative energy and protein sources.
The study concluded with a recommendation to use rice at a 10% inclusion rate as an effective and economical alternative, maintaining the productive performance of broiler chickens.
