Minister of Higher Education Honors Faculty Members for Global Publications with a Three-Million-Dinar Award

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored a distinguished group of faculty members who have published outstanding research in prestigious journals affiliated with Nature and Science Journals and TOP Journals in the Shanghai Ranking.

During his meeting with the honored researchers, in the presence of the Director General of the Research and Development Department, the Minister emphasized that the Ministry remains committed to supporting researchers and innovators, ensuring all possible resources to empower its academic teams. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s dedication to expanding the presence of Iraqi universities in international academic forums, strengthening their global standing, and elevating Iraq’s name in international indexing and ranking systems.

The honored researchers, representing universities including Basrah, Mosul, Al-Qasim Green, University of Technology, Northern Technical University, University of Information Technology and Communications, and Shatt Al-Arab College, expressed their deep appreciation for the Minister’s support. They commended his commitment to fostering an environment that encourages scientific publishing, innovation, and societal progress.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi has directed that the honored faculty members receive a financial reward of three million dinars in recognition of their publications in prestigious journals affiliated with Nature and Science Journals and TOP Journals in the Shanghai Ranking.
