Minister of Education Welcomes Russian Ambassador and Emphasizes the Importance of Enhancing Coop

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, welcomed the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Baghdad, Mr. Elbrus Kutrashev, and his accompanying delegation.

The Minister highlighted the importance of bilateral academic relations and the development of cooperation frameworks in light of mutual understanding and shared interests between the universities of both countries, in accordance with the scientific mandates under which the institutions of the two friendly nations operate.

Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi also outlined Iraq’s and its relevant institutions’ commitment to implementing the Zero Nuclear Reactor Project, which will provide significant scientific momentum for student training and the completion of specialized educational research at Iraqi universities.

For his part, the Russian Ambassador, Mr. Elbrus Kutrashev, praised the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s interest in scientific cooperation with Russian universities and the development of academic relations that reflect the historic and deep-rooted ties between Baghdad and Moscow.
