Master’s Thesis at the University of Kerbala Discusses Dual Disability and Its Impact on the Expression of Will

A Master’s thesis at the Faculty of Law, University of Kerbala, titled “Dual Disability and Its Impact on the Expression of Will – A Comparative Study,” was presented by the student Iman Rizak Kaban.

The study aimed to explore the rights of individuals with dual disabilities and adopt the most effective legal mechanisms to protect them. It also sought to guide the Iraqi legislator in understanding the key legislative solutions provided by comparative laws to regulate the affairs of this group.

The study concluded that legal scholars were the first to define the combination of two conditions as “dual disability,” attempting to define it, but they were unable to provide a comprehensive and definitive definition. Additionally, both Iraqi and Egyptian legislators relied on age criteria to define the concept of the elderly, regardless of their health condition or social status.
