Master’s Thesis at the University of Kerbala Discusses the Impact of Foliar Potassium Nano-Spraying

A Master’s thesis at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Kerbala, titled “Effect of Foliar Potassium Nano-Spraying on Some Morphological, Physiological, and Anatomical Traits of Faba Bean (Vicia faba L.) Under Salt Stress,” was presented by student Ola Mohamed Nouri.

The thesis aimed to clarify the impact of salt stress on some morphological, physiological, biochemical, and anatomical traits of faba bean plants, as well as the effect of spraying with potassium nano-fertilizer in improving the growth of faba bean plants.

The study concluded that increased salinity levels in irrigation water resulted in a decrease in various morphological traits of the faba bean plant, including plant height, stem diameter, leaf number, and flower count.

The study recommended the possibility of using saline irrigation water within certain limits for irrigating some plants to cope with the shortage of fresh water, by foliar spraying with nutrients, especially secondary potassium, to enhance the plants’ tolerance to saline conditions.
