University of Kerbala Organizes an Academic Seminar on Depression and Its Causes

The Faculty of Education for Humanities at University of Kerbala organized an academic seminar titled “Depression: A Hidden Enemy – Causes and Treatments,” presented by Dr. Haneen Kazem Hindi.

The seminar aimed to raise awareness among students about depression as a hidden psychological disorder, analyzing its psychological, social, and biological causes. It also highlighted effective strategies for early detection, treatment methods, and psychological support, as well as enhancing students’ skills through interactive discussions and practical exercises to help them identify the signs of depression.

The seminar covered several key topics, including: the definition of depression, its causes, its psychological, physical, and social symptoms, as well as methods for its treatment.
