Master’s Thesis at University of Kerbala Discusses Phonetic Significance in the Poetry of Sayyid Mahdi Al-Araji

A master’s thesis at the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Kerbala, titled “Phonetic Significance in the Poetry of Sayyid Mahdi Al-Araji (d. 1359 AH),” was presented by student Jaafar Kazem Bachay.

The significance of the thesis lies in highlighting the role of phonetic significance in shaping the poetic texts of Sayyid Mahdi Al-Araji, examining the aesthetic and artistic dimensions that the sounds added to his works, making it a valuable contribution to the field of literary and linguistic studies.

The study consisted of three chapters. The first chapter explored the study of sounds, focusing on both vowels and consonants, and presenting scholarly opinions on them. The second chapter specialized in the study of the manbur syllable and intonation, while the third chapter addressed phonetic phenomena closely related to phonological studies.
