University of Kerbala Hosts Seminar on Investment Opportunities and Sustainable Development in the Face of Climate Change
As part of its efforts to enhance scientific awareness and address current economic and environmental issues, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Kerbala organized a scientific seminar on investment opportunities and sustainable development in the face of climate change, attended by a group of faculty members, researchers, and students.
The seminar featured Dr. Sadiq Hussein Al-Rakabi, an advisory expert at the Iraqi Advisory Commission for Reconstruction and Development in London. He discussed the importance of investing in environmentally friendly sectors, the role of sustainable development in mitigating the effects of climate change, and highlighted successful international experiences in this field. He also presented the practical aspects of investing in sustainable development.
The seminar also reviewed the prominent investment opportunities available in Iraq to confront climate challenges, emphasizing the need for adopting economic strategies that enhance resource efficiency, encourage renewable energy projects, and stimulate private sector investment in sustainable environmental fields.
