President of Quaid-i-Azam University Pakistan Presents a Commemorative Shield to the President of Kerbala University

Professor Niaz Ahmed Buttar, President of Quaid-i-Azam University in Pakistan, presented a commemorative shield to Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, President of University of Kerbala.

The shield was handed over by Dr. Ilham Nazem Al-Shibani, a faculty member at University of Kerbala, who had participated in the international conference on social harmony and national integration in Pakistan.

Professor Niaz Ahmed Buttar expressed his hope for the need to overcome obstacles and expedite procedures in order to finalize the memorandum of understanding between the two universities as soon as possible.

Quaid-i-Azam University is one of Pakistan’s oldest and most prestigious universities and is also ranked among the top 100 universities globally according to the QS rankings of 2012.

This collaboration comes as part of University of Kerbala’s efforts to open up to distinguished and globally recognized universities, which occupy advanced positions in international university rankings.
