The seminar highlighted the central role of reason in interpreting Quranic texts, reviewing intellectual exegesis schools, both ancient such as the Mu’tazilites, Ash’arites, and Shia, as well as modern schools that have made reason a starting point for understanding religion and the Quran. It also examined the rules governing the intellectual approach in exegesis, and the importance of balancing text and reason to ensure a comprehensive interpretive methodology.
