University of Kerbala Shines in the Iraqi Universities 3×3 Basketball Championship
The University of Kerbala basketball team kicked off their journey in the Iraqi Universities 3×3 Basketball Championship held at Ashur University, with participation from 56 universities and private colleges. The team achieved three consecutive victories, dominating their group and finishing at the top of Group 7.
Coach Sajad Kareem Fliheh, a faculty member at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and team leader, expressed his pride in the team’s outstanding performance. He highlighted that this achievement reflects the collective effort and intensive preparation the players put in over the past period. He emphasized that the players’ commitment and teamwork were key factors in achieving these promising results, which further raise hopes for the university to achieve more success in the upcoming stages of the tournament.
Several students also expressed their excitement about participating in this competition, which provides them with a platform to develop their sports skills and build team spirit. They are optimistic that this journey will mark the beginning of a series of future accomplishments.
