College of Pharmacy Organizes a Course on Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management

The College of Pharmacy at the University of Kerbala organized a training course on “The Basic Principles of Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management,” with the participation of several college staff members.

The workshop, presented by Dr. Labeeb Abdul-Rasool Abdul-Razaq, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of monitoring drug safety and minimizing the risks associated with their use.

The course covered the concept of pharmacovigilance and its historical development, as well as the key terminology used in this field. The system of pharmacovigilance and how it operates was explained, alongside real-life examples of its role in improving patient safety.

This course is part of the college’s efforts to enhance awareness of drug safety and improve the efficiency of staff in effectively managing pharmaceutical risks.
