University of Kerbala Organizes an Awareness Symposium Rejecting Sectarianism and Advocating for a Unified Society

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kerbala organized an awareness symposium under the slogan “No to the Years of Sectarian Hell” and titled “Rejecting Sectarian Discourse… Towards a Unified and Harmonious Society.” This event aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of sectarianism and its devastating impact on social unity and sustainable development.

Dr. Asmah Sahl Kazim Al-Mousawi presented at the symposium, explaining the effects of sectarianism on societies, particularly in Iraq, where sectarian conflicts have fueled violence and deepened divisions. She emphasized the importance of promoting a culture of tolerance and coexistence among all sects, and called for empowering youth to spread the values of unity and peace.
