College of Pharmacy Organizes a Training Course on Volleyball Skills

In line with its commitment to developing students’ skills and promoting teamwork and physical activity, the College of Pharmacy at the University of Kerbala organized a training course titled “Volleyball: Skills, Game Basics, and Rules,” with participation from a group of students interested in sports activities.

The course was conducted by Professor Haider Salman Mohsen, Assistant Lecturer Nizak Raad Hani, and Assistant Lecturer Ali Hameed Majid. It included theoretical lectures covering the history and development of volleyball, its health and social benefits, and a detailed overview of the game rules and fundamental skills such as serving, receiving, setting, spiking, and defensive blocking.

The course also featured practical sessions in the sports hall, allowing participants to practice key skills in a structured and scientific manner, combining theory with hands-on experience.

The training aimed to enhance students’ sports culture, improve their physical and technical competencies, and prepare student athletes capable of representing the college in university tournaments, while also strengthening teamwork and discipline among participants.

At the conclusion of the course, the instructors expressed their appreciation to the participants for their active engagement, emphasizing the importance of continuing such activities that integrate academic learning with physical fitness, positively impacting students’ personal development and overall health.

Through these initiatives, the College of Pharmacy reaffirms its commitment to supporting extracurricular activities that contribute to building a well-rounded university generation both academically and physically.
