The College of Pharmacy Organizes a Workshop on Self-Defense and Personal Protection Skills
The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy, University of Kerbala, organized an academic workshop entitled “Self-Defense and Personal Protection Skills” with the participation of a group of faculty members. This workshop is part of the unit’s efforts to enhance community awareness and develop life skills.
The workshop included theoretical and practical sessions that focused on identifying the types of threats women may face in various environments. It also reviewed essential self-defense skills and personal protection methods, enabling participants to deal effectively and consciously with emergency situations.
The workshop, presented by Assistant Lecturer Nahawand Ahmed Najm and Assistant Lecturer Naba Nasser Naama, aimed to build self-confidence, enhance self-awareness, and empower individuals to protect themselves and their surroundings, thus contributing to community security and maintaining public safety.
