University of Kerbala Holds a Vigil for One of Its Faculty Members

University of Kerbala held a vigil to mourn the passing of Dr. Afrah Abdul Ali Al-Khayyat, a faculty member in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Education for Humanities. The vigil honored her academic career and recognized her continuous contributions to the university community.

The vigil was attended by the University President, Professor Sabah Wajid Ali, his assistant for administrative affairs, Dr. Jassim Eidan Al-Maamouri, the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Dr. Hadi Al-Saidi, and a number of faculty members, staff, and students. Participants observed a minute of silence, reflecting the university’s appreciation and solidarity with the family of the deceased.

The University President expressed his deep sorrow at the loss of one of the university’s distinguished members, praising her academic and educational contributions and noting that her memory will remain alive among her colleagues and students.

Participants offered their heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, praying that God Almighty grant her His mercy and inspire her family with patience and solace.
