In the first conference of the Industrial Advisory Council, the Minister of Education emphasizes linking university curricula to the needs of institutions and their industrial and development problems

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, stressed the intensification of postgraduate programs related to industrial, economic and development problems.

In his speech during the first conference of the Industrial Advisory Council in Iraqi Universities in 2023, he urged linking curricula directly to the needs of industrial institutions and reviewing them regularly to meet all the changes in the global environment and achieving more coordination and cooperation between universities, companies, sectoral ministries, unions and relevant organizations through industrial advisory councils. In an effective, transparent and sustainable manner, the labor market cooperates with universities in order to transfer market requirements to curricula, study programmes, scientific research and agree on areas of training and qualification.

He explained that the conference coincides with the completion of the first year of the work of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the establishment of qualitative achievements in terms of qualifying specialized scientific staff, conducting research and community service, indicating that it is an important part of the Ministry’s priorities in supporting the private sector and creating job opportunities by establishing appropriate climates in which Of scientific knowledge as an effective tool in development and development.

The conference activities witnessed a number of speeches presented by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Dr. MuzahimAl-Khayyat, the Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Development of Education in Iraq, Dr. Hamid Khalaf, and the Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Haider Abd Dahd, as well as presentations and panel discussions in which experts, researchers, consultants, and representatives of ministries, unions, and organizations participated.
