College of Pharmacy / University of Kerbala has organized a scientific course on indicators that must be adopted to determine stages of kidney failure, with participation of a group of employees and students.

The course, which is lectured by , Dr. Arjwan Abdul-Jabbar Reda, aims at raising awareness about adhering to health conditions to avoid developing high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity, and doing periodic follow-up by performing a kidney function test (KFT).

The course topics includes providing a physiological explanation of renal unit responsible for filtering the blood from nitrogenous wastes, factors that lead a person to stages of kidney failure, and addressing chronic diseases that lead to kidney failure such as blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease, as well as genetic factor.
