The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, directed the reopening of applications to the Elite Student Channel in public universities for the academic year 2023/2024 to provide the opportunity for students wishing to apply within this channel.

In compliance with the approved controls, the students included in the application are graduates of the preparatory study for the academic years 2022/2021 and 2022/2023, with averages of (90%) and above, graduates of the biological, applied, and literary branches, and that the application is to the faculties of administration and economics within the departments of (business administration, statistics, public administration, and administration). Industrial, Accounting, Economics, Financial and Banking Sciences) and the Faculties of Law, Education and Basic Education in the universities located within the student’s governorate of residence.

Students from all governorates who graduate from the biological and applied branches are entitled to apply to the specialty of industrial management of oil and gas/Basra University of Oil and Gas, provided that their average is not less than (92%.

In this regard, the Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up clarifies that submission to this channel continues until the end of official working hours on Sunday, 11/12/2023, and that the application procedures begin with the student submitting his options via the electronic form on the Studies Gateway (www.dirasat-gate.org). Then the student goes to any government university located within his governorate of residence to conduct the interview and test.
