During the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities, which was held at the University of Baghdad, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research reviewed that the Union voted to support the initiative presented by His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi and to value this effort that aimed at enabling Arab universities to achieve their goals within a unified scientific framework.

For his part, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama highlighted that the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities welcomes and values the initiative of His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi in the Republic of Iraq regarding the establishment of a unified Arab region for Higher Education.

Dr. Salama stressed the conference’s commitment to work to implement this distinguished initiative

It is worth to be mentioned that the conclusion of the conference activities, certificates of participation and membership were presented to the Arab universities that joined the Union, the number of which reached thirty.
