College of Administration and Economics / University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled ” the role of modern irrigation techniques in developing agricultural sector – selected experiences with possibility of benefiting from them in Iraq”.

The study, presented by Ibrahim Muhammad Abdel Hassan, aims at studying the most important modern agricultural technologies used in agriculture and knowing the future prospects for developing these technologies.

The study concludes that the use of modern irrigation methods reduces problem of water and local stress resulting from soil salinity.

The study recommends the need to work on keep pace with developments occurring in the world to increase production efficiency.
