University of Kerbala Organizes a Training Course on Waterborne Illnesses

College of Science / University of Kerbala has organized a training course on waterborne illnesses with participation of a group of students and researchers.

The course aims at demonstrating diseases transmitted to humans and animals through water, determine their ways of spreading, and detecting health risks of polluted water.

The course includes identifying ways to spread infectious diseases by water according to type of cause, whether bacterial, viral, or parasitic, and identifying the source of causes, as well as clarifying preventive role and protection from water-borne diseases such as cholera, typhoid fever, viral hepatitis, polio, schistosomiasis, malaria, and giardia.
