The University of Karbala hosts a ceremony honoring the students who won the Art of Public Speaking and Deliverance competition

The University of Karbala hosted a ceremony honoring the students who won the “Art of Public Speaking and Deliverance” competition, which was organized by the Volunteer Development and Advancement Team, sponsored by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and in coordination with the university.

The honoring ceremony was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, the President of the University of Karbala, Dr. Basem Khalil Nayel Al-Saidi, his assistant for scientific affairs, Professor Dr. Najm Abdul Hussein, his assistant for administrative affairs, Professor Dr. Akram Mohsen Al-Yasiri, and a group of college deans, professors and students.

During the honoring ceremony, the Minister of Youth and Sports stressed the need to pay attention to youth energies and develop their skills in various fields, especially those related to culture and community awareness.

For his part, the President of the University of Karbala, Dr. Bassem Al-Saeedi, thanked everyone who contributed to the success of this competition, which is in harmony with the university’s strategy in developing the diverse skills of students.

The first place in the competition was won by the student Montazer Haider from the College of Islamic Sciences, while the second, third and fourth place were won by the students Hassanein Muslim, Muhammad Salah and Mojtaba Abdel Samie from the Soil College of Human Sciences, and the student Muhammad Ali from the College of Veterinary Medicine came in fifth place.

This competition, organized by the Volunteer Development and Promotion Team, coincides with International Arabic Language Day, which is celebrated by various government institutions and civil society organizations.
