During Honoring the public Universities that achieved three advanced scores in the results of the Iraqi Universities Ranking , His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi expressed his confidence that Iraqi universities will continue their rising path in the field of scientific publishing and compete in the rankings that enhance the academic reputation of institutions and provide them with a positive presence on international platforms.

Dr. Al-Aboudi demonstrated that the Iraqi University Ranking, in its special edition for 2023, reviewed an evaluation of ninety-five public and private institutions according to the standards of institutional accreditation by 20%, international rankings by 10%, effectiveness of scientific research by 30%, community service by 5%, digital maturity by 2%, faculty members by 10%, awards by 5%, students by 5%, infrastructure by 5%, diversity and international cooperation by 5% and occupational health and safety by 3%.

Hi Excellency added that the ranking in which conducted by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Apparatus reviewed University of Baghdad obtained the 1st score , then followed by University of Babylon and University of Technology at the level of public universities, Al-Ameed University obtained the 1st score at the level of private universities and colleges, Al-Mustaqbal University obtained the 2nd score and Islamic University obtained the 3rd score.
