Basrah University’s Ph.D. Thesis: On Improving Reduction of RADAR

College of Science, University of Basrah discussed a Ph.D. thesis on improving radar cross-section reduction of complex objects using geometry techniques and radar-absorbing materials by postgraduate student, Mr. Osama Karim Muhammad.

The thesis aimed at reducing the radar cross-sectional area via using geometric shape techniques and radar-absorbing materials.

The thesis demonstrated finding the radar cross-sectional area of the proposed study objects made from conductor, then calculating the radar signature using the geometric shape technique and the radar-absorbing material technique and comparing the results.

The thesis recommended using both techniques together to further reduce the radar cross-sectional area, as well as relying on the technique of partial coating of targets instead of complete coating.
