Karbala University’s Ph.D. Thesis: On Interactive Impact of Technological

College of Management and Economics, University of Karbala discussed a Ph.D. thesis on the interactive impact of technological change on the relation between lean manufacturing practices and environmental performance by the postgraduate student, Mr. Yassir Mahmoud Fahad.
The thesis aimed at testing the interactive impact of technological change and the extent of its contribution to strengthening the relation between lean manufacturing practices and environmental performance.
The thesis demonstrated adopting the interactive effect of technological change in the relationship between lean manufacturing practices and environmental performance and conducted an analytical study of the opinions of a sample of employees at the Alexandria General Automotive Manufacturing Company in Babylon.
The thesis confirmed that the company’s interest in applying and implementing the principles and techniques of technological change at the field level would enhance the impact of lean manufacturing on environmental performance.
The thesis recommended paying attention to and following up on technological developments because of their importance in creating a new customer base and discovering new markets.
