University of Karbala organizes a training course on polymerase chain reaction technology.

The College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala organized a training course on the use of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology in the microbiology laboratory in the Basic Medical Sciences Branch.

Assistant lecturer Ayat Alaa Al-Din, assistant lecturer Nour Hashem, and assistant lecturer Nour Muhannad Faisal lectured in the course, while a group of college students attended.

It came with the aim of training students on how to use polymerase chain reaction in diagnosing epidemiological and hereditary diseases.

The course included an explanation of the basics of polymerase chain reaction technology, an explanation of the components of the device, its working principle and its various applications, and implementation of practical experiments on how to operate the device, prepare and enter samples, in addition to how to read and verify the results, while addressing the most important problems that the researcher may face during his work
