Practical experience in the pharmacology and toxicology laboratory on evaluating anti-inflammatory drugs

A practical experiment was conducted in the Pharmaceuticals and Toxicology Laboratory to evaluate anti-inflammatory drugs for fourth-year students in the practical pharmacology subject, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Mazen Hamed Odeh and Assistant Lecturer Sarah Najm Abd. Inflammation was induced locally in the feet of white rats using an egg white substance, and clear classic signs of inflammation appeared as the thickness was measured. The skin before and after inflammation and the difference was clear. Then one of the anti-inflammatory drugs was used to evaluate its effectiveness by following up on measuring the thickness of the skin and the swelling that occurred in the foot of the laboratory animal. It is worth noting that this experiment can be conducted for chemicals and plant extracts that have anti-inflammatory significance or effectiveness to measure their effectiveness. priority in this field.
