The Undersecretary of the Minister of Higher Education for Scientific Research Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abd Dahed, and the President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Basem Al-Saeedi, opened the research laboratories in the College of Veterinary Medicine after their rehabilitation.

Dr. Haider Abd Dahd stated that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research continues its cooperation with international institutions to reach the highest levels of safety and security in research laboratories in Iraqi universities.

He added that the Ministry worked to implement (15) projects related to scientific laboratories and chemicals through small grants from international institutions.

For his part, the university president stated that the process of renovating laboratories is an important step to reduce the threats of accidents, pollution, and the risks of bioterrorism.

He stressed that rehabilitating laboratories represents a moral and legal commitment that contributes to improving science, community service, and environmental protection.

The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Professor Dr. Wefaq Al-Bazi, gave a briefing on the stages and details of the rehabilitation of research laboratories.
