During the 1st Conference of Industrial Advisory Council in Iraqi Universities 2023, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi stressed on increasing of postgraduate programs related to industrial, economic and development problems.

Dr. Al-Aboudi urged that curricula be linked directly to the needs of industrial institutions and that they be reviewed regularly to meet all the changes in the global environment, and that greater coordination and cooperation be achieved between universities, companies, sectorial Ministries, unions and relevant organizations through industrial advisory councils in an effective, transparent and sustainable manner and labor market cooperation with universities in order to transfer the market requirements for curricula, study programmes, scientific research and agreement on fields of training and qualification.

His Excellency reviewed that the conference coincides with the completion of the first year of the work of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the establishment of qualitative achievements in terms of qualifying specialized faculty members, conducting research and community service.

Dr. Al-Aboudi highlighted that it is an important part of the Ministry’s priorities in supporting the private sector and creating job opportunities via establishing appropriate climates in which of scientific knowledge as an effective tool in development.

It is worth to be mentioned that the conference activities witnessed delivering a number of speeches presented by the Chairman of Parliamentary Education Committee, Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayyat, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Development of Education in Iraq, Dr. Hamid Khalaf and the Ministry’s Deputy for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Haider Abd Dahd, as well as presenting and symposiums in which experts, researchers, consultants and representatives of the Ministries, unions and organizations were participated.
