Evaluation of Some Trace Element in the Sera of Non pregnant and Pregnant Female Patients with Type1 Diabetes Mellitus (DM1)

Abstract

This study has focused on trace elements Zinc (Zn), Chromium (Cr), Vanadium (V) and Germanium (Ge) levels in the sera of (50) non pregnant female patients with type 1 diabetes , (30) non pregnant controls , (33) pregnant diabetes, and (33) pregnant controls. Their age range is (15 – 45 years).

The results revealed that In non pregnant diabetes significant differences (P=0.0001) in Zn, Cr, V, and Ge were found as compared to controls. And In pregnant diabetes significant differences (P< 0.05) in Zn, Cr, V were found in the three pregnancy trimesters as compared to controls whereas significant difference (P=0.0001) in Ge was found only in first trimester.

الخلاصة

تناول البحث دراسةالعناصر الكيميائية النادرة : )الزنك, الكروم, الفناديوم والجرمانيوم(, في عينات لأمصال (50) أمرأة غير حامل مصابة بمرض السكري من النوع الاول ,(30) أمرأة سليمة غير حامل, (33) حامل مصابة بالسكر و(33) حامل سليمة تتراوح أعمارهم بين (15-45 ) سنة.

وقد أظهرت الدراسة وجود اختلافات معنوية (P=0.0001) في مستويات  ( Zn,C,.V,Ge ) عند المريضات غير الحوامل مقارنة بالأصحاء. كذلك وجد اختلافات معنوية (P< 0.05) في Zn,Cr,V) ) عند المريضات الحوامل في فصول الحمل الثلاثة مقارنة بالأصحاء بينما وجد اختلافات معنوية (P=0.0001) في Ge في الفصل الأول من الحمل فقط.
