College of Pharmacy organizes a scientific trip to Uruk Pharmaceutical Factory.

The Pharmaceutical Chemistry Branch at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Karbala organized a scientific trip to the Uruk Factory for the manufacture of medicines and medical supplies in Karbala, which is affiliated to the Imam Hussainiya Shrine, to develop the scientific aspect in the pharmaceutical industry and to see the scientific reality of this industry and compare it with their theoretical and practical studies that they study  in the college. Pharmacist A.M.D. Jalal Hassan Abu Taheen, the supervisor of the trip, in which a number of college students from all stages participated, and under the supervision of a number of faculty members: that the students, upon their arrival at the factory, attended the scientific symposium prepared by the factory management, during which a lecture was given on the latest drugs, modern equipment and machines used to improve efficiency from another part, student Zina Al-Husseini, one of the students participating in the trip, said: This visit added a lot of knowledge and awareness to us, explaining: The students found great convergence between the theoretical materials we learned in college and the actual manufacture of medicine in this large factory, and thus the pharmacists are the experts. In treatment with synthetic drugs and drugs, because one of the pharmacist’s tasks is to install and dispense the drug, and they are the ones who determine the optimal use of the drug to provide positive health outcomes for patients.
