A lecturer at the College of Pharmacy publishes a research in an international journal

The lecturer in the Medicines and Toxicology Branch in College of Pharmacy (assis.lect. Zahraa Abdel-Karim Muhammad Ali) published a scientific research entitled (Hepatoprotective Effect of Coenzyme Q10 in Rats with Diclofenac Toxicity Affiliated to the (Archives of Razi)

The research included studying the protective effect of coenzyme Q10 (a type of antioxidant) protecting the liver from the toxicity of Voltaren treatment.

Through the results of the research, the researcher showed that the levels of liver enzymes are lower with the administration of the antioxidant Q10

She added, it was observed that these enzymes increased with the use of Voltaren treatment and decreased with the use of the antioxidant Q10

It is noteworthy that this research came in share with the teaching staff in the clinical pharmacy branch (mrs.  Nour Zia Aziz) and the teaching assistant in the pharmacology branch (mrs. Marwa Muhammad Zughair. It is noteworthy that the faculty of the Faculty of Pharmacy has an important and significant role through their quest to promote the movement of scientific research and the progress of the University of Karbala and the Faculty of Pharmacy within the international classifications that depend largely on academic reputation, scientific sobriety and the number of research published globally, this comes to the publication of a number of scientific research in local and international journals.
