The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel Sahib, affirmed the commitment of the Ministry and its universities to cultural exchange and academic cooperation with countries in the region and the world.

The Minister of Higher Education, during his reception of the Syrian Ambassador, Mr. Sattam Al-Dandah, stated that Iraq and its academic institutions are keen to develop coordination and development paths for cultural exchange and sustainable academic cooperation in accordance with the determinants and standards of scientific sobriety.

Noting at the same time the readiness of Iraqi universities to independent Syrian students and to offer and exchange scholarships and fellowships

In turn, the Syrian ambassador expressed his happiness with the meeting and the keenness of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to develop areas of cooperation and improve the quality of programs related to academic understandings and agreements with countries in the region and the world.
