Lecturer at the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Jalal Hassan Abu Tahin in the discussion committee of a master’s thesis in the College of Education for Pure Sciences Department of Chemistry submitted by the student (Bahaa Karim Al-Ghanmi) entitled (Studying the effect of nano-chitosan associated with some drugs on some chemical properties and the p53 gene in lung cancer cell line type A549)

The thesis included linking drugs (mefenamic acid – cephalexin – paracetamol) from nanoscale chitosan and was diagnosed using infrared and magnetic resonance spectroscopy techniques. It also included measuring the release time of drugs loaded on nanoscale chitosan.

The thesis recommended the delivery of drugs selectively to specific pathological sites without access to non-target cells, organs or tissues, and the development of nanoscale properties of some pharmaceutical polymers and their applications in the medical field, improving properties such as taste and enhancing their solubility.

The participation of the teacher Abu Tahin comes among his many contributions and his tireless assistants in the scientific cooperation between the various colleges and universities to develop scientific research.
